Welcome to the Los Angeles Poet Society Blog

The Los Angeles Poet Society is out and about town to let you know what's going on, making our communities that much closer together... hence our mission -- to build a bridge to LA that showcases all the beautiful creative communities!

Our new Director of Outreach, Victor Sotomayor will be taking it away...with blogging that is!

Take it away, Victor!  :)

These are very exciting moments for poetry and writers in Los Angeles. A new movement of young, and old, black and white (and yellow and brown and every other color of the rainbow) are coming together to make a change, to make a positive impact in our society, in our dear City of Los Angeles, our city of angels!

So it is with great pleasure that I present to you our spanking new blog! We writers have lots to say and blogging is one easy way to communicate, be spontaneous, write on the go and post, take pictures at open mics, events, word festivals, book fair… You name it, this is YOUR blog!
